Dear Parents,
 
While we are planning for all in-person learning for lower school students and a hybrid of in-person and distance learning for middle school students, we understand and respect that not all families will feel comfortable returning to in-person learning. For these families, we are offering a remote streaming option for our in-school learning model.
 
Please note that the remote streaming option for in-person learning is different from the whole-school distance learning model we used last spring, which was geared specifically for a virtual experience for all students.

--Remote streaming students will join the live class via Zoom and be able to watch and listen to the teacher via a “smart” camera mounted in the classroom.
 
--Because the camera is “trained” on the teacher in the front of the classroom, opportunities for full participation will not be the same as being in the classroom.

--Remote streaming students will, for the most part, complete the same assignments as in-person students. Hands-on and group assignments will be modified as needed.
 
How to Join Our Remote Streaming Option for In-person Learning:
 
--Parents who would like to select the remote streaming option for in-person learning will complete the form below no later than Monday, August 3 to allow the school sufficient planning time.

--A follow up phone call will take place before the start of school with Lower School Director Shelley Fogelson or Middle School Director Lauren Goldberg to discuss parent, teacher, and student responsibilities in this model.

--Parents will need to select either the in-person or remote streaming program for each child. Each student may only participate in one program.

--If a family chooses to change programs, we will require a one-week lead-time to allow the faculty to plan accordingly (for example, if a family chooses to switch from the remote streaming option to in-person learning or from in-person learning to the remote streaming option).
