FVC June 10-11 2023 Youth Beach Tournament

The FVC will be running our first FUN beach tournament on the weekend of June 10-11.  This will be a 2 v 2 tournament so ask a friend and sign-up as a team!  Everyone with a reasonable amount of volleyball experience is welcome even if the players haven't played much beach volleyball.

The format will be quite relaxed and the FVC will organize teams into like-skilled pools/groups.  A few guidelines for this event:

 - 13U to 18U Athletes
 - Co-Ed Teams (within reason - if like-skilled) - No problem to mix genders for a team
 - Different Ages - No problem if the two players are a year or two apart if like-skilled
 - Net Height - We'll have nets set at standard women's height (2.24M).  We may modify down to 2.20 or 2.15M if we have enough younger teams across a group/day.
 - Initial Seeding - FVC coaches will be consulted for all local/known athletes.  If you are not local, please email club@fernievolleyball.com so we can have a dialogue about the experience level of the team and seed them appropriately.

Saturday, June 10th - 9AM - 4PM
Sunday, June 11th - 9AM - 4PM

Cost: $30 per team - eTransfer to treasurer@fernievolleyball.com by end of day on June 2nd to secure your registration

Depending on how many teams register we may split up teams by age groupings/ability and run two single-day events.  For now try and have both days available and we will try and narrow the dates/times by early June.

AGREEMENT & LIABILITY
This agreement/waiver must be acknowledged by the parent/guardian of an under 18 years of age participant. Completing your name below affirms that the athlete and parent/guardian have read, understand and agree to these terms for BOTH athletes.

For the purpose of this agreement, the term ‘ FVC June 10-11 2023 Youth Beach Tournament’ will be used to include all organizers, coaches, parent volunteers, as well as the Fernie Volleyball Club and its board of directors.

RULES & REGULATIONS

 - All fees paid for this program are non-refundable (unless registration can't be accommodated in which case a full refund will be provided)
 -  FVC June 10-11 2023 Youth Beach Tournament is not responsible for any injuries, lost or stolen or damaged personal equipment or supplies.

WAIVER FOR USE OF MEDIA - Photo and Personal Info Waiver

The Volleyball sessions may be photographed and/or filmed and displayed as promotional material on websites, flyers, social media, and other media sources. I provide my consent to allow the FVC to photograph, video and display media of my daughter/son.

AGREEMENT - PHYSICALLY PREPARED ATHLETES / PROGRAM LEADERSHIP

The player has my permission to participate in training, events and activities put on by  FVC June 10-11 2023 Youth Beach Tournament

I certify to the best of my knowledge that the participant named herein is physically fit to engage in the activities described above. All Athletes entering into this program are so knowing there is a risk of injury due to the nature of the sport and enter at their own risk.

FVC June 10-11 2023 Youth Beach Tournament will not be responsible for injuries.

EMERGENCY CARE

If at anytime during the course of my athlete’s activities in volleyball, she/he becomes ill or sustains an injury, I hereby authorize the  FVC June 10-11 2023 Youth Beach Tournament to obtain emergency medical/dental care. I will assume full financial responsibility for all bills incurred.
