Faculty Application for Programming Co-Sponsorship
The Center for South Asian Studies invites requests for funding from UCSC faculty to support programming and research activities related to South Asia. Applicants are required to fill out and submit the Google Form below by Friday of the third week of every quarter.

The typical range of funding will be $300-$500 dollars.

We suggest applying well in advance of your proposed activity; events and activities cannot be “backfilled.” We also strongly encourage creative funding strategies that bring together multiple strands of support on campus. Due to our lack of Center staffing, faculty applying for funds to plan talks, workshops, or symposia on campus will need to plan not only for financial needs, but also for the provision of human resources. The CSAS Directors are happy to work with faculty, especially early-career scholars, to “learn the ropes” in planning and executing events, but the expectation is that support work (booking rooms, requesting tech support, etc.) will, for the most part, be carried out by faculty themselves.

Once funding is awarded, please remember to acknowledge CSAS during your event or in resultant research publications.
