Apply for a scholarship to attend Summer Edible Academy to be held Wed-Thur June 20, 21 & 22, 2023 at Gregory-Lincoln Education Center, 1101 Taft St, Houston, TX 77019. Ticket Value: $180

Join us for hands-on lessons to learn techniques and curriculum for using your school garden and Outdoor Classroom as exciting educational tools. Participants explore lessons in gardening, leadership, and nutrition that support TEKS objectives in the core subjects. CPE's. Garden seeds, gloves, and resources will be provided to grow successfully in the outdoor classroom.

The scholarship window is currently open until June 15th or all spots filled. You will be notified one week after submission of your status. Any questions or inquiries, email: education@urbanharvet.org

Scholarships are targeted but not limited to support teachers and individuals who work with youth in low-income neighborhoods and socially vulnerable populations. This workshop is designed for participants who an existing school garden or container gardens. Those serving the East End, Sunnyside, Northeast Houston, and Third Ward communities will be a priority.
