Ice Cream for Change is a platform of ice cream lovers and makers advocating for social change and civic action. From dismantling racial injustice to fighting climate change, our goal is to use the power of ice cream as a force for good by helping to raise money and awareness.
On July 18, National Ice Cream Day (or the entire weekend if you would like), we’re putting our money where our mouth is—literally— to fight for human rights and end racism. Ice Cream for Change is bringing together the ice cream community- scoop shops, ice cream companies, and home ice cream makers to help raise funds for organizations leading the change.
Here’s how it works:
- Select an organization supporting human rights and/or a community that is important to you
- You'll received a Participant Toolkit that outlines recommended techniques for fundraising as well as sample messaging, images, and other helpful suggestions
- Post/Advertise #icecreamforchange info on your social media, website and/or in-store
- Get loads of ice cream made and continue to post
- National Ice Cream Day! Today’s the day...let's make our impact.
- We'll reach out during the week of 7/20 to calculate the impact we’ve made as an Ice Cream Movement
More info to come. Feel free to pass this on!
