Incomplete forms will NOT be accepted or considered for review. Answer completely.

Thank you for your interest in being a C.I.T. during the 2012 camping season at Tarhe Youth Camp in Blue Creek, OH. Enclosed you will find the necessary paperwork that will need to be completed and returned to me for consideration as a C.I.T. (Counselor-In-Training).

The “C.I.T. Application” should be fill-out by you then taken with the “Pastor Reference Form” to your pastor.

Please ask your pastor to complete the “Pastor Reference Form” and return BOTH forms to me. You might want to include a stamped envelope addressed to me.

Make sure you get your form to your pastor in time for him/her to get his/her part completed in time to return them to me by Friday, May 10th. This is one good measure to see how responsible you are.

You may even want to follow-up with a call to the pastor a few days after you take the forms to see if they have been completed and mailed or to remind your pastor to complete his/her form and mail both of them to me.

If you are chosen to work, it is important that you be able to be a role model to the campers who will be attending. C.I.T.’s are in a position of leadership and we, as a staff, expect them to behave accordingly. Invariably, some of the campers will come with little or no church background.

During camp, C.I.T.’s are called upon to assist in dormitory activities; work in the camp store; help supervise planned activities; do devotions one night; assist with cabin prayer; attend morning prayer services; prepare and other tasks as requested.

If selected, you will be coming as one who will be serving-not as one to be served.

Being able to listen, take directions, carry-out responsibilities, etc., are of utmost importance. If you are not able or willing to fulfill these requirements, please do not apply for this position--we are looking for people who are able and willing to assume responsibilities and who can be relied upon to do the best they can do.

Also during camp, we expect you to put your own personal agendas on hold. While you are working at camp, your time belongs to God.
