Heart of Service - Artist Application
This is an opportunity offered through a partnership with WA State Department of Health, Public Health Centers for Excellence, and Washington State Community Health Workers Association.

This project will work with artists to capture stories of community health workers and develop art, poetry, and music that expresses the trauma, healing, and resilience of Washington’s communities.


The goals of this project are to:
1. Increase public understanding of CHW experiences and impacts, particularly with families with young children;
increase the visibility of the CHW workforce;
2. honor CHWs and their contributions;
3. celebrate resilience of CHW participants and their communities; and
4. develop culturally relevant storytelling tools to build and deepen long-term trust between CHWs and DOH.


6 Washington Artists will have the opportunity to receive compensation from this project.
