Welcome to FemSMS!

We need volunteers to join us in launching & co-creating a compassionate SMS communications network delivering vital information on reproductive health and mental wellbeing to those needing it across the US. While FemSMS is based on feminist principles, we recognize this issue is intersectional and will impact all gender identities. Our texts are for all those impacted. FemSMS first launched in 2022 in Ukraine where it continues to provide resources for the wellbeing and safety of women affected by war and displacement across the region.

We have taken our learnings from Ukraine and are now honored to launch in the USA, where compassionate, trauma-informed communication around reproductive health and mental wellbeing are urgent.

If you are willing to receive and/or test our messages please fill out our Google form, we need your voice at the center of this initiative! Once you sign up, you will receive approximately 5 text messages from FemSMS over two weeks. We will then send a short online survey as well as randomly select a small percentage of you to speak briefly on the phone and share your thoughts. We want to know your opinion of the texts, what we are missing, and how we can grow together and do better. While this design process ensures we are serving you and your communities the best we can, there is zero obligation to take the online or phone survey – knowing we are sharing vital information, in most cases, is enough.

First trial texts to be sent in October. 

Please note the first 150 people who sign up with be included in Trial 1 and the all others in the next trial.

Únase a nosotros en el lanzamiento de la creación conjunta de una red compasiva de comunicaciones por SMS que brinde información vital sobre salud reproductiva y bienestar mental a quienes la necesiten en los EE. UU. FemSMS se basa en principios feministas, reconocemos que este problema es interseccional y tendrá un impacto en todas las identidades de género. Nuestros textos son para todos los afectados. FemSMS se lanzó por primera vez en 2022 en Ucrania, donde continúa brindando recursos para el bienestar y la seguridad de las mujeres afectadas por la guerra y el desplazamiento en toda la región.
 
Hemos aprendido de Ucrania y ahora tenemos el honor de lanzarlo en los EE. UU., donde la comunicación compasiva e informada sobre el trauma en torno a la salud reproductiva y el bienestar mental es urgente.

Si está dispuesto a recibir y/o probar nuestros mensajes, complete este formulario de google. UNA VEZ QUE SE REGISTRE, recibirá aproximadamente 5 mensajes de texto de FemSMS durante dos semanas. Luego enviaremos una breve encuesta en línea y seleccionaremos al azar un pequeño porcentaje de ustedes para hablar brevemente por teléfono y compartir sus pensamientos. Queremos saber su opinión sobre los textos, lo que nos falta y cómo podemos crecer juntos y hacerlo mejor. Si bien este proceso de diseño garantiza que le brindemos el mejor servicio posible a usted y a sus comunidades, no hay ninguna obligación de realizar la encuesta en línea o por teléfono; saber que estamos compartiendo información vital, en la mayoría de los casos, es suficiente.
