The Sexism Free Night project, funded by the European Union's Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme, aims to denormalize sexism and prevent sexual violence in nightlife environments (bars, clubs, nightlife districts, parties, etc.) and festivals by raising awareness among partygoers, promoters and professionals working in these settings. The project includes research, awareness-raising, and capacity-building activities with the aim of contributing to gender mainstreaming in nightlife (more information available here: www.sexismfreenight.eu). 

We also intend to build up a European network with the aim of creating a dialogue platform for organizations, collectives, individuals, etc. who are working on a sexism free clubbing and festival culture. This network should facilitate the exchange and the reflection among best practices and innovative experiences, and reinforce advocacy to promote and to inspire other organizations and professionals, as well as for social agents and stakeholders involved in the fields of nightlife and festivals. With the claim together toward a safer and more egalitarian nightlife and festival environments.

This network will also be involved in the creation of a future European label to award nightlife venues and festivals for their gender-inclusive practices. Having this in mind, we would like to kindly ask you to fill out this questionnaire in the representation of your project/collective/organization. This information will be part of a database with already existing initiatives all over Europe. In a second step, we will map and describe these initiatives on our website and these will be made visible on our website. Through the creation of this network, we also aim practices to inspire other organizations and professionals, as well as social agents and stakeholders involved in the fields of nightlife and festivals. Please, take into account that filling out the survey does not link your project/collective to the Sexism Free Night network. At the end of the questionnaire, we will ask you specifically if your organization/project/collective is interested to become a member of this European Network.
