Camp Bethel Summer Staff Application 2023  (For Returning Junior Counselors)
A "Returning Junior Counselor" is any former Junior Counselor who is once again applying for a Junior Counselor Position.  If you were hired as a CIT in a previous summer or have not worked a summer at Camp Bethel, you must fill out a NEW JUNIOR COUNSELOR application: https://forms.gle/oBs4qWTmExGWp6gCA

Because funding is limited, only the best applicants can be hired as Junior Counselors. We are accepting Junior Counselor applications now through April 1, and will begin screening/interviewing for positions after March 1, so apply NOW or ASAP.

*NOTE: With all the complexities of our summer working together, it would be greatly beneficial if all staff were vaccinated prior to employment.  For the safety of our coworkers and our campers, we would like you to strongly consider registering for the COVID vaccine (https://vaccinate.virginia.gov/).  If you have questions or concerns about this, let us know.

**NOTE: Since our summer camps are for children and youth, no one convicted of any crime is permitted to work or volunteer at Camp Bethel during summer camps.

Junior Counselor Applicant Directions:
1. You must involve your parent/guardian in this application process. Involve them in your decision to apply.  Be sure they know your time/training commitments and the minor policy if you are hired.

2. BEFORE completing this application, you AND your parent/guardian must read the updated 2022 Summer Staff Information packet at www.CampBethelVirginia.org/summer-staff. (Please pay particularly close attention to the "COVID-19 Safety Adaptations and Policies" section).

3.  Along with your application answers, email the following to CampBethelOffice@gmail.com: (1) a scan or digital photo of the front AND back of your driver's license, if you have one (if you do NOT have a driver's license, you must send a scan/image of a valid photo ID); (2) a scan or digital photo of any current certification cards, if applicable; and (3) a scan or image of your most recent report card to verify your minimum GPA of 2.5.

4.   Returning staff applicants will list two references as part of this application form (near the end of the form). Include name, phone number, and relationship. Do NOT use family members, friends, significant others, or current Camp Bethel staff as references. Returning applicants do NOT need their references to fill out the Recommendation Form.
