You may apply for a one-time project/event stipend to support your community college affiliate's professional development, recruitment, and outreach activities if you meet the following requirements:
- Part of a SWE Community College Affiliate in the United States.
- An active SWE member.
- Not using the stipend to pay for SWE memberships (fill out the C2C request form on the CCASE website to request free collegiate memberships)
- A faculty advisor who can deposit checks. The check can be sent to any verified bank account. Wire or ACH transfers are acceptable as well.
- Acknowledge completion and willingness to complete the Youth Protection training for events with participants under 18.

The maximum request amount is $375 per event or project for a maximum of $750 in one calendar year (Jan-Dec). You can request partial amounts throughout the year or the full amount as long as it does not exceed $750. For instance, you can apply for up to $375 for a spring event and $375 for a fall event or apply for both in the same request as long as they two separate events. SWE reserves the right to award less than the requested amount.
Funding may be used anytime in the year as long as all funds are used within a year of the request.
Examples of eligible funding requests:
- Professional or career development events
- Speakers and workshop costs
- Collegiate or K-12 outreach either on campus or in the community
- Hosting SWE-led recruitment events

Timeline:
- Our team will review requests on an ongoing/rolling basis. We will email you a status update on your submission within two weeks.
- We will send you an authorization form to issue a check or wire transfer if approved.
- A report detailing the impact of your project/event must be submitted within 30 days of the end of each project/event. If you need an extension of funds, please email Sohn Cook below. Failure to submit a report will disqualify you for future funding.
