2021 Calendar - *ALL events start at 9:00 am PST/noon EST, and are 1hr in length*

March 3, 2021 - "World Wildlife Day: Restoring Habitats & Backyard Safaris" - Wildlife is everywhere, but we don’t always see if unless we look for the signs! Join the Canadian Wildlife Federation as we celebrate World Wildlife Day by searching for signs of wildlife in our backyards and schoolyards! Together we’ll explore how wildlife (and people) are connected to each other, the important roles different animals play in their ecosystems, and what we can do to help wildlife survive and thrive in our shared habitat – no matter their size! Offered in partnership with the Canadian Wildlife Federation.

March 22, 2021 - "World Water Day" - World Water Day, 22 March 2021, is based on the theme #Water2Me. Join CGE as we explore what water means to people, its true value, and how we can better protect this vital resource. Offered in partnership with Ocean Wise. **Please note: This event starts at 10:30am PT/ 1:30pm ET**

April 9, 2021 - "Pollination Puzzles" – From their shape to their scent, many plants have adapted ways to attract bees, butterflies and other types of pollinators. Join the Canadian Wildlife Federation as we learn about the science of pollination and work together to match up different plants with their pollinating partners! Offered in partnership with the Canadian Wildlife Federation.

May 7, 2021 - "World Migratory Bird Day" - Birds come in a variety of shapes, colours and sizes! Join the Canadian Wildlife Federation to learn how bird characteristics, such as beaks, feet, legs and wings, can give us clues about what different birds eat, how they move, and what kind of habitats they live in. Offered in partnership with the Canadian Wildlife Federation.

June 8, 2021 - "World Ocean Day" - One Ocean, One Climate, One Future – Together. On World Ocean Day, people everywhere celebrate and take action for our shared ocean, which connects us all. With our schools, our family, and our community, join with millions of others around our blue planet to start creating a better future. By working together, we can -- and will -- protect and restore our shared ocean. Join this growing global celebration in June and continue to grow the engagement year-round! Offered in partnership with Ocean Wise.
