First-time students who wish to take the following classes must take the Intermediate/ Advanced Placement Exam:

Intermediate Korean II
Upper Intermediate I & II
Advanced Korean I
Intermediate Conversational Korean I & II
Advanced Conversational Korean
News & Discussion

This exam may take up to 45 minutes to complete; please keep track of your time as we ask you to indicate your time at the end of the exam. Once you have completed and submitted the exam, please sign up for a time for the speaking portion with KLP Coordinator, Amanda Grant. The combination of the exam and our interview will determine which course level is best for you. The interviewer will suggest specific course(s) for you.
