2024-2025 GSC Sponsored Housing Application
Thank you for your interest in living in one of our two GSC-sponsored Houses, QTBIPOC and Rainbow House.

As you might know, The Gender and Sexuality Center (GSC), QTBIPOC, and Rainbow House will temporarily move to the Eugster townhouse for the upcoming academic year. Eugster consists of four apartments:
  • Eugster 100 will serve as the GSC, with three individual offices plus a community area and full kitchen.
  • Eugster 200-400 will continue to house students in GSC-sponsored interest houses, including Rainbow House and QTBIPOC House
During the interview process, we will share updated information regarding the capacity for each of the two "houses." You can learn more about QTBIPOC and Rainbow Houses below.

Queer & Trans, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (QTBIPOC)
This Identity house community aims to foster a communal, social, and programmatic space for Queer & Trans, Black, Indigenous people, and Students of Color. If chosen to live in the house, residents will work closely with the community's Resident Assistant as well as the GSC to cultivate meaningful opportunities for the residents and the larger QTBIPOC community
Rainbow House
This identity house is a space for anyone from LGBTQIA+ communities at Carleton who has an interest in living in a space that affirms each person's unique journey with gender & sexuality and serves as a hub for broader LGBTQIA+ community engagement. If chosen to live in the house, residents will work closely with the community's Resident Assistant as well as the GSC to cultivate meaningful opportunities for the residents of Rainbow House.
Who is eligible to apply?

Applications submitted by Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students holding LGBTQIA+ or questioning identities will be prioritized in the selection process. Based on the vacancy status during a given term, students who do not hold these identities may be offered a space in the house.

*Please note, students who go on Academic Leave, Study Abroad, or Medical Leave are not guaranteed their original housing assignment upon return. We will work with students as rooms become available.
