AYSO Region 112 Extra Coach Application 2023
To be selected as an Extra Coach an applicant must

• Be registered as an AYSO Volunteer
• Have current AYSO Safe Haven, Concussion, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training
• Be a Certified Regional Referee (or higher)
• Be a Certified AYSO Coach at the appropriate level
• Complete the 2023 Extra Coach Application by the announced deadline

Expectations for Extra Coaches

Extra is a year-round program covering both the Fall and Spring seasons. Coaches must be of excellent character, committed to AYSO’s coaching philosophies, and be an active participant in the Region’s standard primary programs. Applicants should be fully dedicated to coaching an Extra team.

If you are selected, you will have the opportunity to coach some of the most talented players in Region 112. The region will be entrusting you with their care, development, and welfare, as well as with the long-term welfare of La Verne/San Dimas' AYSO’s soccer program. The region expects the coach and players will remain members of AYSO Region 112, sharing with our other coaches and players the experience and skills acquired while playing in our Extra program.

Coach training requirements

• For 10U Extra teams an applicant must be certified to coach 10U
• For 11U or 12U Extra teams an applicant must be certified to coach 12U
• For 13U or 14U Extra teams an applicant must be certified as an Intermediate Coach

These are basic requirements. In selecting Extra Coaches, we will take into account applicants’ additional training, certifications, experience, and contributions.
