Hello, Lake Country Community!

The Lake Country School Research Center strives to provide resources that are “windows, mirrors, and sliding glass doors” (Dr. Rudine Sims Bishop, 1990).

Children should be able to see all of their identities reflected in our collection.

Materials should provide windows into the experiences of others, and provoke “sliding glass door moments”, where new perspectives open up in real world experience.

To that end, we would like to invite families to suggest books or resources to add to our collection. Please feel free to fill out this form often - when you read a review, see a new book or get a word of mouth recommendation!
