About MSP
The Melbourne Space Program (MSP) aims to launch the next generation of technology pioneers. We develop Australia’s pipeline of job-ready graduates for the technology sectors by providing interdisciplinary real-world training to students. Our mission is to use space technology as a vehicle to discover passion, build experience and deliver solutions to industry.

MSP comprises 80+ university student and alumni volunteers who manage all facets of the company. Our unique cross-disciplinary structure and working environment integrate desirable industry practices for maximising learning, effectiveness, collaboration and agility. The Creative Communications (CComms) Department covers marketing, organisation culture, social media, PR, content creation, media relations and event coordination.

Position Description
We are seeking engaged, enthusiastic and friendly people to join the Creative Communications Department.

The Content Creator creates marketing content, both internal and external. This role is responsible for facilitating engaging and effective content creation, channel optimisation and brand consistency within the content. This means examining channels the program uses to reach its audiences – both within social media and without – and determining how we can best utilise these with tailored content (everything from social media to newsletters, podcasts, videos and blog posts, etc. on email, mobile, print etc.). The Content Creator also acts as editor, helping to ensure that all work published on our website is written to a high standard and consistent in an editorial style.

In addition, this role involves undertaking analytics and measurement of how our audiences are interacting with the content and channels and working with others in the CComms team to adjust outreach strategies based on what works and what doesn’t in a comprehensive and technical manner.

Main duties also include:

Create unique and engaging written and multimedia content (blogs, articles, photographer and video editor). In this role, you will work closely with the Social Media Officer
Ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice
Manage the MSP website along with the CComms manager
Be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style
Work closely with the CComms team on all creative and branding initiatives to ensure a consistent message across channels

Applications will close on Sunday 15 March at 5 pm.

Interview Process
Completing this form is the first stage of the application process. Applicants who are successful at this stage will proceed to the interview stage, which consists of three half-hour interviews. Each interview is conducted by the executive or directors of MSP.
