e-Commerce Associate
Founded in the fall of 2013, the Brooklyn Running Company is NYC's independent running shop. With locations in Park Slope and Williamsburg, our team is always looking for new candidates who are outgoing, compassionate and energetic.

The primary objective of the e-Commerce Associate is to manage the front and back end of Brooklyn Running Company’s (“BRCo”) soon to be launched e-Commerce platform. This is a part-time opportunity with the potential to grow into a full-time role within our organization.

Specific Duties include but are not limited to:

PRODUCT
  • Work with brand representatives, B2B sites and brand-specific image sharing platforms to source digital assets for all incoming footwear and apparel products
  • Coordinate the photography of all BRCo Originals items in partnership with relevant BRC Buyer(s)
  • Edit digital assets in Photoshop -where necessary- to ensure they are uniformly displayed on e-commerce platform
  • Source, edit, or create product descriptions including product specs for each SKU according to template
  • Verify prices of all products
  • Maintain a library of processed digital assets ready for future upload
  • Manage Lightspeed e-commerce platform:
    - When products arrive and are received into our POS system, communicate with staff to ensure prompt (w/in 24hrs)  upload to website
    - Audit products for purpose of quality assurance, accuracy and eliminate any out of stock SKUs and associated asset imagery. Assign default thumbnail photos to associated inventory SKUs.
EXECUTION
  • Ensure best market practices on e-commerce including direction of -and coordination with- the fulfillment and order execution colleagues on matters such as returns, disputes and any customer Q&A
  • Manage web real estate in coordination with Director of Marketing/Digital Lead with regard to seasonal campaigns and product drops
FULFILLMENT
  • Coordinate the management of in-store fulfillment systems
OPERATIONS
  • Manage third party integrations as related to payment processing, shipping, and any other e-commerce operational function
TECHNOLOGY
  • Manage IT and development for all web properties
CUSTOMER SERVICE
  • Design and review customer service protocols specific to e-commerce
  • Manage customer service communications
  • Liaise with Lightspeed Support for any technical issues and trouble shooting
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of an Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Preferred minimum 1 year of experience in relevant e-commerce role
  • Ability to set and achieve goals and manage multiple projects, timelines and priorities. Able to deliver results under pressure and under tight deadlines
  • Ability to create strong relationships within the team and across the different functionalities of the organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator preferred
COMPENSATION
Part-Time eCommerce Associate position ranges from $20-$25 per hour based upon experience level assuming a minimum 25-30 hour work week.
