Please bring your baby to our group.  

Find a comfortable spot in your home and set up your device so that if we need to, we can see you feeding your baby.  Be prepared to try different positions.  If you need different supports, have them available to you.  These can include pillows, rolled baby blankets, or rolled towels.  It is not necessary to buy a "breastfeeding pillow" or anything else that you don't already have in your home.  

It is sometimes helpful to have another person available to change the angle of the camera, if necessary, while you are feeding your baby.  

Have a snack, a cup of tea, or coffee, or other beverage available to you- if baby gets to eat, you get to eat too!

Keep in mind or write down a list of conversation topics or questions.  This is peer to peer support group, so feel free to offer up ideas and your experiences to the other parents and ask for suggestions for yourself.

I understand that this support group is meant to provide me with information and education. Participation in this group does not create a clinical relationship between me and Kate DiMarco Ruck, IBCLC.

I understand that I am responsible to consult with my primary care provider and/or my baby’s primary care provider before taking action on anything that happens here today.

I recognize that Kate DiMarco Ruck, IBCLC is not a doctor and cannot provide medical advice or supervision.

I recognized that if I have an established clinical relationship with Kate DiMarco Ruck, IBCLC as my lactation consultant, it is up to me what I wish to share in the group setting about our prior clinical relationship. If I do reveal a clinical relationship, I understand that Kate DiMarco Ruck, IBCLC will not make reference to our private clinical conversations in the group context, and will not provide me with specific or personal clinical recommendations or a plan of care.

I give permission to Kate DiMarco Ruck, IBCLC to examine me, my breasts, and my baby visually and manually. I may withdraw this consent at any time.

I give permission to Kate DiMarco Ruck IBCLC to photograph or record video of me and/or my baby during the support group. These photographs and videos may be used for marketing purposes on Kate DiMarco Ruck’s website and social media channels.

Any funds generated from this group will go towards making IBCLC clinical care possible for families in need during the COVID-19 crisis.  Suggested donation is $20.
