Gehenna Gaming GM Application
Want to run horror games at conventions with us? We're looking for dedicated GMs who want to run horror TTRPGs, appreciate the use of safety tools, and know how to run a fun, engaging game in 3-4 hours. Just check the information below then fill out the form!

Perks
  • Free attendance at the convention
  • On-site support from our convention team
  • Free snacks and water
  • Materials support (scenarios, pre-generated characters, dice, and more)
  • Paid GMing opportunities
Requirements
  • You must agree to use safety tools for your games. Failure to do so will result in removal from our GM roster.
  • You must run a minimum # of games during the con to receive a free badge for the event. This number is equal to the number of days the convention runs. IE - if a con runs 3 days, we require 3 games. Those games do not have to be run one-per-day, however.
  • We do not provide travel or housing expenses, unless otherwise noted on a case-by-case basis for specific conventions.
  • Unless otherwise noted on a case-by-case basis, games are unpaid. However, we do frequently work with publishers to showcase their games and get GMs paid for their time, and you would be automatically eligible for those opportunities!
We vet our GMs carefully to ensure everyone of every background feels safe and has fun at the gaming table, so please be as thorough as possible in your application!

Discord Handle
We do much of our planning and organizing for conventions on Discord, so please provide your handle so we can contact you there and invite you to the server.

If you do not use Discord that is fine!
Are you comfortable running games for a diverse group of players, including POCs and members of the LGBTQIA+ community? *
This is a requirement for all our GMs, if your answer is No, you need not apply.
Do you agree to use a consent form for all games you run, and accommodate the tables preference on safety mechanics? *
Safety mechanics may include: X cards, Red/Yellow/Green cards, a hand gesture, fade-to-black, and discussion of lines and veils, amongst others.
Are you comfortable running games for beginners who have never played it before, or perhaps even never played a TTRPG before? *
What conventions are you interested in attending? *
Please list any conventions you're willing to travel to, not limited by the ones that already appear on our schedule.
What games are you interested in running? *
Please list all games you feel comfortable running in a convention setting. Please try to keep the answers "grammatically correct" ie - Vampire: The Masquerade, not "VtM." You do not need to include version numbers.
Are you interested in learning new games? *
We often have requests from conventions or publishers to offer specific games at a show. Would you be interested in learning a new game (books provided for free) for an event?
Can you commit to running the minimum number of games during a convention? *
Have you run games at events before? *
If yes, with what organization?
Please provide the contact information for the organized play manager if able.
Are there any accessibility accommodations you would prefer to have access to at a convention? *
If we or the event organizers are unable to provide said accommodation, are there any alternatives you would prefer?
If accepted to run games with us, do you agree to adhere to an established schedule as set by the show organizer and will be at your table a minimum of 15 minutes early for every day and time slot you're scheduled for? *
Are you interested in other convention opportunities with Gehenna Gaming, including being a paid booth worker, or RPG coordinator volunteer? *
