Here is the run-down:
Requirements:
- Time commitment: 8 hours per month March-October. We begin on Wednesday, March 6th at 9 am.
- Must be willing to work at the farm at least 2 times per month for 4-hour shifts (or come once per month for an 6-hour shift)
- Most Wednesday mornings March-October 9am-1pm (or 9 am - 3 pm)
- 1 hour per month will be dedicated to making herbal preparations.
Internship focuses on hands-on learning through a variety of tasks including planting, weeding, watering, mulching, harvesting)
Must be willing to work in various weather conditions
- Come with a positive attitude and willing to be a part of an intimate and inclusive herbal community
- Commit to the work
- Must have transportation
Cost
$100
Fee will be waived for former students
We will cover:
- Propagation Techniques including growing from seed, stem propagation, root division, transplanting
- Requirements for plants (sun, water, spacing, maintenance)
- Weeding techniques (sheet mulching, tools for cultivation, occultation, solarization, cover crops)
- Harvesting and drying techniques and methods
- Basic herbal preparations (tinctures, glycerin extracts, tea blends, oxymels, syrups, infused honeys, pastilles, salves)
-Must bring required supplies on medicine making days (jars, supplies for tinctures, oxymels, and oil infusions (vodka, vinegar, olive oil)

Some Thursday mornings are available.
Some weeknight evening shifts will be available.
