Joan Chard Bursary Application

Joan (Le Vasseur) Chard has kindly donated money to My Aerial Home to award to individuals who want to dedicate themselves to training or retraining as professional aerialists but who need financial help to make this ambition possible.

Eligibility

Our grant fund is limited. While applications to our scheme are open to all, priority will be given to people who:

  • Are looking to develop their careers through aerial
  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Live in a household with total annual income of less than £25,000
  • Are committed to learning aerial
Expectations

If successful, we expect bursary students to:

  • Book and pay for their classes or course within 30 days of notification of successful application.
  • Attend more than 80% of their classes. Any absence from class must be informed and justified (ie illness). 
  • Be passionate and committed to learning aerial circus. 
  • Show exceptional behaviour in class, be determined to learn and act as a role model for others.
  • Share their aerial journey with My Aerial Home to potentially be used in social media posts in order to inspire others. 

Please note that poor attendance, behaviour or commitment while on the scheme may result in the scholarship being withdrawn at any point.
