More information about Reconnect for Resilience:
PURPOSE: WHAT WILL I LEARN?
Reconnect for Resilience™ offers simple language to explain how trauma affects the brain and the nervous system and introduces a set of practical strategies to promote resilience. The training teaches seven tools for people to use during stressful times in their lives. The tools are for anyone to use during hard times, no matter what their age or level of education. Science shows us that stress can lead to chronic sickness in our bodies, like high blood pressure, diabetes, and weight gain. We want to teach others how to work with our brains to get us back in our Balance Zone during hard times.
COST: NONE
This 2-day intensive training usually costs $295, and is being offered for free through support from the Rural Opportunity Institute, Area L AHEC, and the Kate B Reynolds Charitable Trust.
