Welcome to application for the Young Entrepreneurs 2024 Summer Program!
Who can sell?
Young Entrepreneurs must be under 18 and have a parent or guardian's permission to be eligible. A parent or guardian must also be present with you on the days you sign up for to help guide you, but you are expected to be responsible for running your own booth.
Set up:
As a Young Entrepreneur you will have have enough space to set up ONE table up to six feet long. This space will be near the welcome booth area so you can have assistance from market staff if needed. You must provide your own tables and chairs as part your set up.
Fees:
Fees for the YE program are only $10 per Saturday you sign up for. There is a limit of 4 Saturdays per YE to ensure everyone that wishes to participate can have the opportunity as there is limited space reserved for the program.
The fee can be paid:
1. In-person at the Fort Atkinson Chamber of Commerce by Check, Cash, or Card during business hours (Mon-Fri, 10AM-3PM).
2. Mail a check made out to Fort Atkinson Chamber of Commerce, to 244 N Main St, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538
(Please include that it is for YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS and the child's name or business name chosen on the memo line or included somewhere in the envelope)
3. Call the Fort Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce during business hours to supply your credit card information. (Again, please note the name and Young Entrepreneurs Program when Paying.)
4. In-person payments of Cash or Check at the event. (This option must be paid by the end of event if not in advance or you may be banned from participating in future dates/events.)
What can I sell?
Anything you sell must be created by you, grown by you, or baked by you. We suggest young entrepreneurs sell crafts, art, jewelry, or cookies.
What you CANNOT sell are Items that are items that are cooked on site. In other words you cannot serve things like hotdogs or grilled cheese as you need special licensing and health inspections for that.
Commercially made items also cannot be resold at your table unless you are altering them in some significant way. For example, you can sell a t-shirt that you bought and then tie-dyed. But you cannot just by a t-shirt and then resell it in the same condition it was bought.
Don't worry. You have the chance to tell us what you want to sell below and we will help you figure out if it is okay or not, or help you decide on a different project to sell.
We're so happy to have you! If you have any questions regarding the Summer Market, please contact the Market Manager, Aimee Leonard at
