Adoration Experience
Fr. Mark is asking all of our students preparing to receive Confirmation to have two experiences in Eucharistic adoration. You can count one of these experiences as your adoration experience on your confirmation retreat.  You are also free to visit our parish adoration chapel or our parish adoration period before Mass begins on the weekends. St John School students should find a time to go outside of the school day.

After completing these experiences, write Fr. Mark a paragraph on your experience.  Some questions you should answer:

1) When and where did you go to Adoration?
2) What was this experience like for you? Describe your emotions and what you felt with your senses: Was it easy or hard? Why? Was it what you thought it was going to be like? Why? Were you focused or bored? Why?
3) Did your time in adoration change your feelings about receiving communion at Mass? Why or why not?
4) Is adoration a form of prayer you would like to experience again? Why or why not?
5) The Eucharist is believed to be the "source and summit" of the Catholic faith. Would you agree or disagree with this statement after your experience? Why?

If you have questions about this process, please do not hesitate to contact Kenn at kdemoll@sjwest.org
