We seek sessions that foster the advancement of skills, knowledge, and or innovative information to support professionals working with children and families. Attendees represent diverse professional fields such as child welfare, early childhood, child support, Head Start, marriage and family therapists, social work, criminal justice, psychologists, educators, counselors, family service workers, fatherhood practitioners, public policy, foundations, etc. We seek diverse presenters from these and like professional fields to support the needs of practitioners, executives, and parents (you may submit up to two workshop sessions for consideration).

  • All presenters must complete the form below.
  • The deadlines apply to all presenters if you have a co-presenter.
  • All presenters must present onsite. In 2024, we will not accept any virtual presenter(s)
  • All presenters must review the best-practice language guides and commit to these standards.
  • If you are teaching a workshop that could support Continuing Education Units, curriculum focus, or capacity building, skill-based or research you will have to review the  Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS) of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)  and identify how your session meets one of the nine (9) competencies. 
  • All presenter teaching models or curriculum-based interventions must draw upon one of the nine competencies and references for all visual aids in APA format; therefore, references will be required at the end of the PowerPoint presentation.
  • Presenters teaching creative, innovative, or models from the basis of the information, coalition building, or panels led by parents are not required for APA format and references.
  • All presenters must submit PowerPoint presentations for review, edits, and final acceptance by January 10, 2024. No modifications to the final PowerPoint presentation will be allowed after 1/10/24.

REQUIRED REGISTRATION

FFCA, like many conferences hosted by nonprofits, does provide discounted conference enrollment for presenters. Traditionally, we have offered packages not available to attendees or other guests. Upon registration for a workshop, the bottom link will provide the option of enrollment. We will not accept non-enrolled workshop presenters. If you have a co-presenter, you are limited to yourself plus two, and each person must be registered.
