Site functions on spring water and solar power. Only electronic devices such as phones, laptops and portable lights may be charged. No heat-related devices such as heaters, hair-dryers etc.
All stoves function on gas.
Hot water is made by donkey boiler and is ready 6am and 6pm.

Busisa Family Adventure retreat has 2 beautiful lookout points
-Sunrise Hill overlooking valleys towards Albert Falls dam and Mbona Private reserve and
-East View Lookout overlooking valleys towards New Hanover and Wartburg.
2. Booked guided bush walks on site
Guided walks can be booked in advance.
There are multiples waterfalls in the area and beautiful indigenous bush paths. These paths are not marked since they are not available to public without one of our guides.
3. Benvie Gardens 3km
3km from Busisa Family Adventure Retreat are the beautiful and timeless gardens of Benvie Farm. For R50 (cash in Honesty box), you can spend and entire day walking these rich gardens.
