It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 2023-2024 Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy Program! 

The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy Program is a national youth initiative of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. The mission of Delta Academy is to provide young ladies with a firm structural program that will enhance their self-esteem, academic achievement, leadership skills, and cultural awareness. This, in turn, will provide them with the opportunity to develop emotionally, socially, and intellectually. The Delta Academy strives to guide young ladies, between the ages of 11-14 into womanhood with the educational support and professional guidance that will support their achievement of academic success and be prepared to compete in a 21st century global society. 

Participant Application Criteria:

In order to participate in Delta Academy, specific criteria and guidelines must be met by applicants as described below: 

∆ All participants must be girls. This is a gender-specific program. 

∆ All girls must be no younger than 11 years old and no older than 14 years old as of their most recent birthday. 

∆ Applications must be received by 5:00 PM on Friday, September 8, 2023, to be considered for the Delta Academy program.

Deadline:

The application must be received no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, September 8, 2023. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Additionally, if accepted into the Delta Academy program, the additional forms must be received by the Delta Academy Chair before the applicant/youth can participate in any of the Delta Academy activities.
