At the AGM this past spring owners’ supported a project to upgrade the wiring in the parkade to support EV charging including providing one 220 V outlet per suite. This project utilized an $80,000 Provincial grant.

Since that time a new Federal rebate program has been announced to support the purchase of EV charging stations. The Strata Council is exploring ways to stack these grant programs on top of each other to potentially reduce costs for owners to purchase a charging station.

Please complete the survey at the link below by 6PM ,July 29 so we can include this supporting data as part of the Federal rebate grant application.

EV charging stations will be selected by the Strata to conform with all requirements of the Provincial and Federal grants, and to conform with earning carbon credits from EV charging. In the future, the cost of EV charging stations to strata Owners will be at the future cost of at the time of installation.

Do you want a Charging Station for one of your parking stalls? The cost to the strata owner for an EV Charging Station for this Project is subsidized partially by the incentives available at this time. The cost contribution will be $1,000 instead of the expected cost (without rebates) of $2,090. Payment of the $1,000 will be required prior to the commencement of the Project in 2023, if it proceeds with a successful Federal grant application. To have a EV Charging for your suite included in the Project chose the YES response that best applies to you. Charging Stations will be available after this Project, but at actual future costs. Townhomes are included for installation of wiring and EV charging stations under this project. *
