Monthly Collegiate Huddle

At a recent SCPA Collegiate Member Orientation, a couple great ideas were shared, but we need your input before moving forward. Please let us know your thoughts on the following:

  • Should SCPA host a monthly virtual Zoom huddle for collegiate editors to get together for informal discussion and idea sharing? This would be similar to the roundtables we offer at the Collegiate Meeting. We're thinking 30 minutes each month.
  • Should we create a digital platform for collegiate members to collaborate, share and get help from fellow members (perhaps over Slack, Discord or Google Groups)?

Are you interested in attending a brief monthly virtual huddle if we can find a time that works for the group? *
Initial feedback shows that Fridays may be the best day to meet once a month. If you are interested in attending, please check all of the times that work best for you to meet. We'll go with the time that a majority of editors can attend. If there isn't consensus, we'll go back to the drawing board and find another day of the week.
Members also expressed interest in a way for editors to communicate and collaborate throughout the year. If we set up a platform, would you participate?
