we meet most Saturdays from 2 to 4pm for in-person workshops, usually at 8641 Linwood, Detroit. (Spacious, lovely dance floor!) Saturday workshops start October 15th.

Live transcription provided on Zoom.  ASL interpretation provided for workshops if requested at least 48 hours in advance. We respond to all accommodation requests promptly.

DanceAbility movement improvisation can be high-energy or slow and gentle, so come as you are. These classes and workshops are for people of all ages with and without disabilities, with and without formal dance training to co-create dance in a diverse community.  We'll practice sensing ourselves and one another to create dynamic dance/soundscapes together.  Discover new possibilities to move through the world!

Cost is $0-$15 per instruction hour. It's an economic justice sliding scale fee--you decide what to pay based on your means. DanceAbility Detroit is supported by Detroit Disability Power and the Michigan Arts & Culture Council and by tuition from class participants with dollars to give.
