Counselling Supervision is a confidential and collaborative clinical learning environment based on mutuality between the supervisor and the supervisee.
My role as your supervisor is to facilitate an ethical 'holding' space, to enable you the supervisee, to reflect and learn about yourself, as well as explore and understand the dynamics within the therapeutic relationship with your clients.
The supervisor/supervisee working alliance is fundamental for effective supervision to be established, as it parallels the importance of the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client.
I provide you with a space to receive constructive feedback to enhance your practice, allowing time to explore you as a person as well as your practice as a counsellor/therapist. I also incorporate therapeutic coaching to enhance your private practice and professional growth.
My main theoretical approach is Integrative Psychodynamic with a strong focus on transferential experiences and working with transference and counter-transference. My work is also influenced by Intercultural and Relational perspectives. I consider the impact of culture, ethnicity, and spirituality on individuals regardless of race, gender or sexuality; inclusive of both the therapist/counsellor and client.
I am a qualified and certified clinical supervisor, with a MA in Psychodynamic Counselling and an Advanced Professional Diploma in Integrative counselling.
I am an Accredited member of NCPS (NCS14-00628) and a Registered member of BACP (362998).
I have professional and public liability insurance and registered with the ICO as a Data Controller for Mabadiliko Intercultural Therapy CIC for GDPR compliance.
If you are a qualified practitioner you will be required to confirm that you have professional and public liability insurance and are registered with the ICO for GDPR compliance.
I do not supervise counselling clinical work provided for CYP under 18. Professional reflective clinical supervision is however available for other types of frontline workers that work with CYP and other client groups.
