Community Accountability at UVA Law
The purpose of this event, which will occur over Zoom on Friday, September 18th at 3:30pm, is to offer all members of the UVA Law community the awareness and tools necessary to engage in meaningful allyship with marginalized people within the law school and beyond. The start of this event will focus on what community accountability is, why it's important and how it strengthens community relationships.

Although this event will broadly cover how community accountability relates to allyship with the LGBTQ+ community, women, etc., we will practice the application of these newfound tools through case studies specifically relating to intersectional Black identities, e.g. Black women, Black LGBTQ+ folk, etc. As such, the survey below will be used to examine how community accountability can strengthen allyship to intersectional communities, and we will use the data from this survey to help guide our case study exercises. In order to promote reflection on the current state of allyship to the aforementioned communities at UVA Law, please take the time to fill out this brief, anonymous questionnaire to RSVP for the event.

NOTE: In order for this questionnaire to be instructive, please try to be as truthful as possible in your responses. All collected responses will be completely anonymous.
