The route: We will be creating an online map connecting local places of worship to each other in a single route.

Does the ICIA have your permission to include your place of worship on our route, including the address and a photo of the building?

Required

Kick-off: At the General Mtg of ICIA, each participating place of worship will be able to briefly present on their faith tradition, as well as have a small table space to display info.

Do you agree to have a representative of your place of worship come to the kick-off event to give a brief presentation and host a small area on a display table?

How the pilgrimage works: Participants walk/run/bike at home and keep track of their mileage throughout the month as they “follow along” on the virtual pilgrimage.

Participants gather donations by encouraging their supporters to pledge either a fixed amount for each mile they walk or a fixed amount for completing the mileage for the overall virtual route.

All funds received go to Hale Ka Po’e Keiki (Homes for Children), ICIA's signature fund, which goes directly to a local non-profit helping to end family homelessness in East Hawaiʻi. The 2022 recipient is Habitat for Humanity Hawaiʻi Island.

Do you agree to share the details of the ICIA Pilgrimage with your congregation and encourage them to participate?
