NAMI Central Texas Board Member Application
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the largest grassroots organization dedicated to building better lives for millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI Central Texas is the local affiliate and offers no-cost classes and support groups for families and individuals impacted by mental illness as well as education and training for schools, workplaces, faith communities, law enforcement and community organizations. NAMI Central Texas is a vital resource for individuals and families when they need a place to turn.

We are looking forward to connecting with individuals in the Central Texas area who are passionate about mental health and board service to join our Board of Directors and assist the organization in accomplishing its mission and 2019-2021 Strategic Plan. In particular, we are seeking candidates who have a background in law, human resources, technology or mental health services.

Individuals selected to join the Board of Directors will serve an initial three-year term that runs from December 2019-November 2022, at which time they will be eligible for election to serve an additional three years.

General Information
All interested candidates should review the NAMI Central Texas Board Member Description and Board Member Agreement before completing the following application below. You can find these documents by visiting our website at: namicentraltx.org/careers

At the end of the application, you will be asked to submit a CV or résumé. Once applications and résumés are received, qualified candidates will be invited to an in-person interview. These interviews are tentatively scheduled for either October 4 or October 11. Candidates invited to join the Board will be required to sign the Board Member Agreement and submit to a background check.
