The role of an AMS Volunteer is to work to support the special event operations of the program and to assist the Executive Director and other AMS members in tasks that support the mission of the program.

"Ada Main Street, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the quality of life in Ada by revitalizing the downtown area as a community center, promoting a healthy, friendly, economically viable and attractive Main Street."

Volunteers are an essential part of Main Street Project’s operations! There are a variety of tasks and duties volunteers are expected to perform, based on the event and program needs and at the coordinator’s discretion. Volunteers are expected to work independently, as well as harmoniously with other volunteers, staff, and management.

Responsibilities can include:
Attend / Work Main Street and partnering events as needed.

Understanding your role and responsibilities as well as the rules and safety regulations of the organization.

Completing the relevant training, if any, and asking questions if you are uncertain about anything.

Completing all duties assigned by the supervisor and reporting any issues immediately.

Observing the rules and safety regulations of the organization while carrying out tasks.

Arriving on time for duty and remaining professional in your interactions with all stakeholders.

Making recommendations for improvement where feasible and appropriate.

Communicating with the supervisor or relevant stakeholders when you are running late or unable to fulfill your duties.
