The Windham Eagle Newspaper and The Windham Community Board are excited to spread Holiday Cheer for another year. This application is for those wishing to "adopt" a local Windham/Raymond family. We are offering two methods for participation - adopting a family or monetary donations.

Adopting a family would consist of receiving family information(age, gender, specifics) and purchasing those items yourself. These items would then be dropped off for the organizers to wrap and distribute to the family. Families are expected to pick up the gifts by December 18, 2020 or by way of another arrangement. We ask donors commit to dropping unwrapped gifts off as soon as possible but no later than December 14, 2020.

Monetary donations would be accepted from community members who would like to give back to their community and/or do not wish to be assigned a family to shop for. Donations would then be used to shop for families who are unmatched/donor did not come through or have extra needs not met as identified by the organizers. Monetary donations do not go to the families for their own use unless otherwise designated by the donor.
 
Emails will be sent periodically to confirm receipt of your application, provide information and confirm delivery. Please check your email spam box from time to time as we encountered this issue last year.

Thank you so much for helping local families who are in need or have fallen on hard times. Please help us team you up with an ideal family by answering the following questions. We have asked families for 1-2 "need" items and 1-2 "want" items per child. They will also identify any "family" needs which may include items for the adults in the home. When selecting a "family size" this will be the number of children. Please identify if you are able to purchase for the adults as well. In the past, we have allowed for submission of "children" who are 18-20 who may still be in school or dependents of the home.
 
All donations will need to be dropped off by 12/14/20 at 5pm to The Windham Eagle Newspaper at 588 Roosevelt Trail.
