Guideline for Submissions -- Black Butterfly Call for Creative Works

Open to all students, staff, and faculty, 18 years and older, currently affiliated with UMBC. All submissions should be original creative works created in the last 5 years. Multiple mediums acceptable including all traditional visual arts media, digital works, creative maps and design works, and more. Bold creativity is encouraged! Pieces that need to be hung should be framed, wired, and ready to hang.  

Please fill out the questions below. In addition, creators must send a digital copy of the piece to curator Terrell Brown, tbrown19@umbc.edu. All images of works should be in jpeg format. There is no entry fee. The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 19th at 5:00pm. We will notify you by April 30th if your creative work will be exhibited at a UMBC campus event on May 9th featuring a presentation by Dr. Lawrence Brown, and we will provide additional information about exhibition logistics at that time.
