Gray- New Gloucester Middle School is thrilled to be offering a variety of intramural and recreational opportunities for students throughout the school year. Offerings will take place once a week each. There may be more sporadic programming during the winter sports season due to indoor space.
Offerings will generally be organized within the sports seasons listed here: Fall (September and October), Winter (November-February Break). Late Winter (February Break-Early April) and Spring (Early April - The end of the school year).
Students may participate in more than one activity.
It is not likely that students can participate in these activities along with school sports due to the timing of activities.
Fall offerings are listed below. Please record the dates and times of chosen activities when registering.
Tennis (Fridays) 9/24-10/22 (none on 10/8)
Mountain Biking (Mondays) 9/13-10/25 (none on 10/11)
Lacrosse (Fridays) 9/24-10/22 (none 10/11)
Flag Football (Tuesdays) 9/14-10/19
After School PE (Mondays) 9/13-10/25
In the early winter season (November and December) we plan to offer:
After School PE
Walking Club
Basketball Clinics Grades 5/6 and 7/8 on separate dates.

There will not be an activity bus during the 2021-2022 school year. We encourage families to work together to provide transportation home.
All programs run from immediately after school until approximately 4:00 or 4:30 depending on the program. All programs are subject to change due to staffing as well as available space. Changes will be sent to parents by email. And communicated to students through announcements after school.
Outdoor activities may be cancelled if weather and conditions are not favorable for the activities.
Programs will be open to students in grades 5-8. When possible, students will be placed in groups based on age and abilities. There is no cost to participate in these programs.
Students should report to the gym or the announced location on the day of the activity when group 3 is called. Parents should remind students to attend on the day of the activity. Individual names will not be called over the loudspeaker.
All programs will be following Covid-19 Guidelines.
