Public Comment at Nashwauk-Keewatin School Board Meeting Request
Nashwauk-Keewatin School Board holds their regular board meetings on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. There is a scheduled time for public comments at regular board meetings. Public comment time provides an opportunity for constituents to address the Nashwauk-Keewatin School Board of Education. We encourage public comments at meetings and ask that you respectfully agree to the meeting guidelines below:

Public comment occurs at the beginning of the Board meetings, which typically start at 6PM on Mondays.
        Refer to the school board calendar online for exact dates.
Each person who signs up to speak should arrive at approximately 5:50PM.
Each person will have up to 3 minutes in which to address the Board.
Up to 5 people can register to speak on a specific topic, which allows different opinions to be presented.
If a large group of people wishes to come to discuss a specific topic, please designate one person to sign
       up to speak.
If you have hand-outs or materials for the Board, please present them to the Board’s Clerk who will distribute
       them to the Board members after the meeting.
•      The Board Chair has full discretion over the Public Comment period, including the ability to manage
       speaking time to allow for additional comments.
No inappropriate comments or behavior will be tolerated. Inappropriate behavior is defined as attempting to
       engage individual board members in conversation, insults, obscenities or profanity, attacks against any
       person in his/her personal capacity, and/or physical violence or threat thereof.

Nashwauk-Keewatin School Board of Education requires the following information below in order to sign up for public comment at a minimum of 4 hours before the meeting. This information is used to connect with and to follow up with individuals speaking during the public comment section of the meeting. Please be advised that this information is considered public information under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act and must be made available upon request. You will not be allowed to speak during public comment without this information provided.
