Format:
Written prelims. 6 teams qualify to the finals. Bounce and pounce to be followed in the finals.

Rules:
1. Only team entries are eligible, and team shall consist of three persons
2. The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
3. The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments.
4. The questions shall be in the form of multiple choice, True / False statement, Specific-answer question, Audio-visual etc.
5. Audience/Supporters shall not give any hints or clues to the competitors.
6. Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration.
7. Cross college and cross department teams are allowed.

Rules for PRELIMS
DEBATE

1.Students are to register in teams of 2
2.All participants must be enrolled UG students
3.Cross-college teams are allowed.
4.Speaking time: (2+1) minutes for each team. There will be rebuttal time, duration will be specified on the day of the event.
5.Topic will be uploaded on the official Facebook page 2 days prior to the given date for the event.
6.There will be a single motion and each team will be speaking  FOR  or AGAINST  it, which will be decided through lottery on the day of the event.

1.Speakers are not allowed to read out from a prepared speech on the podium. Facts and figures may be referred to.

Rules:
1. The essay must be an individual work of the author. No collaborations are allowed.
2. All participants must be enrolled undergraduate students.
3. There is no limit to the number of participants from a particular institution. However, one participant can submit only one essay. Multiple submissions from the same participant is not allowed


Essay Format:
1. A word limit of 1500 words must be maintained.
2. The first page of the essay page must mention clearly the title of the essay, and details of the participant (name, Email id, mobile no. and name of institution).
3. Font: Times New Roman, 12pt, Double-spaced (Line Spacing: 2.0) to be maintained throughout the paper.

Submission details:
The completed papers must be submitted before the deadline to the following e-mail ID: vcbrightminds@gmail.com with subject as: WriteUp!_Your Name. The file name should be as follows Institution Name - Name Of The Participant.

NOTE: Participants must send their essays by 24th January, 2020.

2. Every participant is required to bring their own Charcoal pencils and other art materials as per their requirement,to be kept at the responsibility of the participant.
3.We shall not be answerable for loss of any personal belongings.
4.One sheet will be provided to each participant.
No extra sheets shall be provided.
4.Usage of mobile phones on spot during the event is strictly prohibited.
5.Topic will be given on spot.
