TCGIS Family Survey: Covid Impact (January 2022)
Dear TCGIS families -- We are grateful for your partnership throughout this year to make safe, in-person learning possible. Our desire is to operate in person as long as we can do so safely. A number of districts throughout the region have needed to transition temporarily to distance learning due to staffing shortages or high Covid case counts. This is a possibility for TCGIS, as well, but we hope to avoid this disruption. TCGIS's Incident Response Team makes all decisions in close consultation with the Minnesota Department of Health and with the physical and mental health and safety of our learning community foremost in mind.

Weekly in-house testing allows us to quickly identify and isolate positive cases and close contacts. Staff are required to be fully vaccinated or test weekly. Our students at all grade levels are vaccinated at rates significantly above the state average. Throughout the school, we follow all other mitigations recommended by the Minnesota Department of Health, including masking, distancing, sanitizing, and air filtration, and have done so since school began.

As we continue all of these measures and evaluate what is best for our learning community in the face of the Omicron variant, your responses to the following questions will be helpful. For your input to be considered, please respond by 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18.

ONE response per family, please.
