Legacy Tree Chronicles

The "Legacy Tree Chronicles" is an exciting partnership between Expeditions in Education and Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial, set to take place in 2024. This project invites students from all over the United States to create engaging stories about ancient trees in national parks. Each participating park will provide a photo and GPS coordinates of an important, old tree in their area. Students will pick a tree and research the history of its park, crafting a story that highlights the events and times the tree has lived through. The final result will be a detailed map displaying these narratives, linking students and national parks in a unique way. This initiative offers a fantastic chance for students to participate in storytelling and celebrate America's national legacy, especially as the nation approaches its 250th anniversary.

Students are WELCOME to work alone or within groups. We also are eager to accept stories, poems, photo stories, podcasts, art work, videos, etc.
