This workshop will provide helpful information and pearls of wisdom for attendees considering, or entering the promotions process. Appropriate for all medical educators, particularly those on the Teaching Scholar Track, the session will address how we can elevate a “CV” to an “Educator Portfolio.” Participants will leave with practical tips on how to continuously document their educational achievements and institutional contributions in a way that facilitates a smooth and successful academic promotion process.

Following this session participants will be able to:

   - Identify important considerations for faculty entering the promotions process

   - Describe how an educator portfolio differs from a traditional CV

   - Review the necessary steps in building an educator portfolio

   - Enact several steps to facilitate the promotions process
