FY24 Parent Survey                                             (School-Parent Compact Feedback )
A school-parent compact is an agreement that parents, students, and teachers develop together. It explains how parents and teachers will work in partnership to make sure all students get the individual support they need to reach and exceed subject level standards.

Your school set the following goal(s) for teachers, parents, and students to work on this school year through the FY24 School-Parent Compact (or agreement).

School-Parent-Student Compact Goals:

School Responsibilities: Coastal Plains High School staff will:

Provide high quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the participating students to meet the state’s academic achievement standards by providing an updated curriculum, highly qualified staff, appropriate technology, and research-based instructional strategies.

Provide parents with frequent reports on their children’s progress. Feedback will be provided through written and verbal communication from teachers, mentors, and additional staff members. Conferences may be scheduled by parents, staff and/or students to discuss student progress.

Provide parents opportunities to volunteer and participate in their child’s education. Parents may contact the site director to arrange to volunteer, participate, and/or observe classroom activities.

Parent Responsibilities:

I/We, as a parent(s) will:

Talk with my child about his/her academic progress and provide encouragement for him/her to stay on track for graduation.

Maintain contact with the Coastal Plains staff on my child’s academic progress at the Coastal Plains site he/she attends.

Attend parent involvement activities to gain information on the instructional programs, to support my child’s academic activities and to work with the staff on helping my child meet his/her graduation requirements.

Student Responsibilities:

I, as a student, will:

Attend classes on a regular basis in order to continue to make progress in my courses.

Meet with my mentor/advisor to schedule the needed courses to stay on track for graduation.

Work to the best of my ability on assignments and to request additional assistance when needed so that I may succeed
academically.
