Park School Acceptable Use/Digital Citizenship Policy: I understand that I may not:

Share any teacher’s links or passwords for Zoom, Google Meet, Google Classroom or any other school-related site with people outside of the Park Middle School community.
Use the Internet at school to connect to sites which are inappropriate, obscene, offensive, etc. unless it is for a legitimate school purpose and I have talked about it with a teacher first.
Send or display offensive messages or pictures via email, text messaging or any other means at school or elsewhere; save offensive messages or pictures on the school network or in my school Google account.
Use inappropriate language in any form of online communication at school or elsewhere.
Harass, insult or attack others via email, text messaging, social media or any other online/Internet means whether I am at school or elsewhere.
Change settings, download software or tamper with security on any computers at school or via the Internet from school
Violate copyright laws. I must check with a teacher about Internet copyright laws, including correct citing of Internet sources. I may not copy and paste information from any source (including ChatGPT or other AI services) without citing the source AND speaking directly with their teacher beforehand. Otherwise it is considered plagiarism and could result in disciplinary action.
Move, delete, or change any other person’s electronic work without their consent.
Use another person’s email or Google account or any other account belonging to another person, with or without their permission.
Intentionally waste limited resources (for example, playing games online during the school day).
Use the School’s Internet connection for commercial purposes (buying, selling or trading, for example).
Share personal information about others without their permission.
Share school passwords with other students or use another student’s password. I will let the Middle School Technology Coordinator (Samira Phillips) know immediately if I think a password is no longer private.
Pose as another person while using any form of electronic communication (email, chat, text, etc.) whether at school or elsewhere.
I understand that these rules apply whether I am using a school computer or a personal laptop or other device that I have brought from home. I also understand that Park School’s Policy on Sexual and Other Harassment may apply to harassment or cyberbullying of other members of the Park community or members of another community that occurs on computers, cell phones, etc., regardless of whether it occurs at school.

Park Student Google/Gmail account: I understand that:

My school Google/Gmail account is to be used only for school-related work; the purpose of having this account is to help me learn how to use email and Google Apps effectively to communicate with my teachers and classmates in order to accomplish my schoolwork.
I may not give out my student Gmail address to anyone outside of Park School unless it is for a school-related purpose.
I may not use my student Google account in any way that could be hurtful, harassing or disruptive to anyone else.
I may not share the password for my student Google account with anyone else because I will be held responsible for how my email account is used.
Messages with inappropriate or offensive language that are sent or received using a student Google account, whether in an email or other Google document, may be routed to the Middle School Technology Coordinator, who is responsible for administering Park student Google accounts, and may be read by that teacher if there is reason to believe that there is misuse of my account.
My student Google account will be suspended if I use it inappropriately.
