This May NEON is excited to host our latest Movement Builders programme, specifically for leaders and campaigners working to tackle the root causes of economic injustice in Birmingham and the surrounding areas, and who want to build their city based on fairness, democracy, environmental protection and closing the gap between rich and poor. This two-day training is a mix of practical tools and theory, and will bring together people from across the economic justice movement in Birmingham to strategise and build relationships that last, while developing a deeper understanding of how change is won. You can find out more here.

1. What is the main issue you are working on and what approach are you taking to create change on this? 

2. What are some of the key challenges you encounter in your work and what type of support would you value to help overcome these? This could be things like greater access to resources, advice or training in a certain skill.

3. What would you like to get from this training? List up to three things, but one or two is fine as well

4. NEON believes that society oppresses and marginalises many people, and that social movements can and must actively challenge this. Can you tell us about what this means to you in the context of your work and your approach to change?

Timeline

From submitting your application, here is the rest of the process and when you will hear from us:

- We will review all of the applications together in the days after the deadline on April 4.

- You will then hear from us in mid April, and we'll confirm whether you've got a place on the training.

- We'll then use the weeks after this and before the event to make sure you've got everything you need to participate in the training.
