If you have trouble filling out this registration form, please reach out to vcfostercare@vcccd.edu for assistance.This training is specifically designed for Resource Parents as a first step in combating the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) in California. Caregivers will increase their awareness of this crime and gain an understanding as to why children in foster care are so vulnerable and how they can be influenced by an exploiter.
Additionally, participants will learn how to identify the warning signs and red flags that indicate a child is being sexually victimized. Prevention steps and local resources will also be discussed and shared.
This training fulfills requirements in the written directives Section 8-01 (f) (A) 23. Certificates will be provided to those that complete the class and registration materials.
Your Instructor: For over 20 years, Carrie McAuliffe Sandoval has served as a long-standing FKCE Facilitator dedicated to strengthening our community of caregivers. She holds a B.A. in Health Science Education and a certificate in Negotiation and Mediation. In 2011, her family became an informal kinship provider.
