WordCrew Teen Writing Cohort, Spring 2021 Registration
Fill this registration out if you would like to join WordCrew Teen Writing Cohort! We meet every Wednesday from 5-6:30pm on Google Meets! Here's some more info:

WHAT IS WORDCREW? The only of it’s kind in Baton Rouge, this youth spoken word cohort meets weekly to write, perform, engage in dialogue and discourse, and plan youth spoken word and poetry events. WordCrew members plan and coordinate Humanities Amped teen open mic, Freshhhh Heat-- the longest running youth open mic in Baton Rouge! In addition, members of WordCrew participate in writing retreats, curate and perform in specialty shows, and read/perform their original poetry and writing at local and regional events. WordCrew is open to youth in Baton Rouge ages 13–19.

WHEN DOES WORDCREW MEET? WordCrew meets every Wednesday from 5:00-6:30 on Google Meets.

DOES WORDCREW MEET ANY OTHER TIME? As a part of WordCrew, you will also attend and help run Freshhhh Heat (Humanities Amped teen open mic) twice in Spring 2021. You will also have various performance opportunities throughout the year.

IF I, OR MY GUARDIAN, HAVE QUESTIONS, WHO CAN I CONTACT? You may contact Desireé Dallagiacomo, via email at desiree@humanitiesamped.com with any questions at all! Desireé is a poetry educator and the writing mentor and facilitator of WordCrew. If you'd like to know more about Desireé, check out humanitiesamped.com or desireedallagiacomo.com.

Please fill out this registration in full, and we'll be in contact within a week. Our first workshop is Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 5pm on Google Meets.
