CMU Engineering volunteers in K-5 classrooms - Spring 2022
Hello local Pittsburgh teachers! We at Carnegie Mellon University's College of Engineering's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion have a lot of inspirational engineering students, and graduate student researchers, who are enthusiastic and excited about K-5 outreach! We in the DEI office are fairly new at CMU, and for this opportunity, we are currently working with some partner universities to deliver new STEM support to local schools here in Pittsburgh. (All of our lessons are NGSS aligned also!)

For K-5 work, we are currently relying heavily on our partner organization, Community Resources for Science, in Berkeley, CA. We are able to provide any of the following K-5 lessons with a 2 week lead time - https://crscience.org/outreach/lessonarchive/

If you are interested in having CMU students visit your classroom, either to support an upcoming lesson, or to bring an activity, please fill out the form below. As former K-12 teachers ourselves, we are looking forward to working together with you all in order to better support all Pittsburgh teachers in anyway we can!
